Roots Of The Ancient

Bristlecone Pines are the oldest living trees on earth; with tress greater than 5,000 years old. The pine survives on a land of rock two miles high, where precipitation ranks among the lowest on earth. Blasted by wind and cold, enduring lightning strikes, parched by the sun, stressed to the limit. Their growth is incredibly slow, adding girth at a rate of no more than an inch per 100 years!
